Avocado Tips + Green Smoothie

A perfect avocado can be so good, while a not so good avocado can be pretty gross so I just wanted to share some tips on how to pick the perfect avocado when you’re in the grocery store.

1. Look at the color of the avocado, the darker ones are often better.

2. Feel the avocado, it should not be too hard but not too soft. You have to get a feel for it so you know what a good avocado feels like. Practice makes perfect in this case, learn how a good avocado feels!

3. Remove the dry button from the stem and look at the color inside. Is it green and the avocado feels right, then go for it! If it is brown, dry or doesn’t look very fresh underneath pick another one!

And here comes an old green smoothie recipe; the only thing that is changed is that I added half a avocado and I mixed it a little longer to get the perfect smooth shake. Even more delicious this time!

2 cups cashew milk
2 handfuls of spinach
1 cup frozen mango
1 scoop Fitnessguru OneWhey Kiwi Yoghurt
1/2 cup Greek yoghurt
1/2 lime (the juice)
And a tiny bit of fresh ginger

And this time I added 1/2 fresh avocado
->Then I just mixed everything in the mixer and voila a green healthy smoothie!
