The Perfect Oatmeal

There are so many different (and sometimes difficult) way to make your oatmeal these days. Oatmeal to me is something that should be easy to make, nutritious, and taste good! I have found my favorite way to make my breakfast oatmeal:

  • 2 dl gluten free oats
  • 4 dl water
  • 1/2 shredded zucchini (squeeze out the water after shredding it)
  • 1 teaspoon psyllium husk
  • 1 teaspoon flax seeds 
  • 2-3 egg whites
  • 1/2 scoop protein powder (this morning I used Fitnessguru Vanilla White Chovolate, but I vary this a lot) 

-> Start with putting everything except the egg whites and protein powder in a pot on medium-high heat. Stir frequently and when it starts to boil, lower to low. Stir until it becomes as creamy as you want it. Take it off the heat and add the egg whites and stir well. Then add the protein powder and stir again until everything becomes smooth and creamy! 

Pour over in a bowl and add your favorite toppings! Today I had roasted almonds and sunflower seeds, raw pumpkin seeds, gojiberries, golden berries and raw walnuts!
