Oreo Chocolate Mud Cake

Wanted to surprise my parents yesterday just because I appreciate everything they do for me! And my mum said when we watched a baking programme the other night that she wanted to try a Oreo Chocolate Cake once so that’s where I got my inspiration from!

It was not difficult but it took a long time for all the different steps.

Just a warning; this cake is neither gluten free, dairy free nor sugar free!

Here is the recipe:

For the bottom you need:

  • 150 g melted butter
  • 3 dl sugar (I took 2.5 and it worked fine!)
  • 1 dl raw cacao
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla powder
  • 2 dl flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 package Oreo cookies

For the topping you need:

  • 100 g melted butter
  • 1 dl cream
  • 200 g white chocolate
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 1 bag mini marshmallows
  • 1 package mini Oreos
  • Chocolate sauce

-> Start by putting the oven on 175 C. Melt the butter for the bottom in a pot on the stove. Add the rest of the ingredients, with the flour last. Split every Oreo cookie in 2-4 pieces and turn down in the dough. Pour over in a round form with butter and bread crumbs on the edges and put in the oven for 15 minutes.

Let the cake cool down a little after you take it out from the oven. Start with the topping. Heat up the cream on the stove and add the chocolate, then the butter. Add half of the marshmallows on the cake and then pour over the fudge dough. Then add the rest of the marshmallows together with the mini Oreos and then chocolate sauce on top. Let stand in the fridge for at least 2 hours!

Serve with vanilla ice cream or quark. This is a real chocolate bomb 😀
