Homemade Protein Tiramisu Granola

This is my daily addiction. I LOVE my homemade granola! It started many many years ago with my mum following a recipe she found in a magazine, and if you search for “homemade granola” and click on the oldest post here in my blog I’m sure you will find it.

Today I’m doing this granola so often (probably 3-4 batches a week, no kidding!), so I don’t really measure the ingredients anymore, I go on feeling and with what I have at home. One ingredient I have add in the latest year is protein powder, both to add more protein and to add a good flavor. That way it is easy to switch up the flavor for the granola. I usually use my vanilla protein powder from Fitnessguru. But today I tried with tiramisu flavor and it ended up really well! Taste almost like freshly baked cookies!

I add this granola when I eat quark/yoghurt, with milk, on smoothies, on oatmeal, as toppings on ice cream or any dessert or as a snack just as it is. It is just delicious in so many ways!

Right now you can get 100 SEK off if you purchase products (they have both supplements and really great and cool workout clothes and equipment!) for at least 900 SEK when using the promo code “blogg-72H5B-fb”. For example I bought my favorite workout tights from ICANIWILL there and most of my protein powders and other supplements!

Since I don’t measure the ingredients anymore, I’m guessing a little on the recipe. But if the “dough” ends up too wet, add more oats, and if its too dry add more honey and water.

Homemade Tiramisu Protein Granola (1 batch)

  • 8 dl gluten free oats
  • 2 dl sunflower seeds
  • 1 dl pumpkin seeds
  • 1 dl coconut flakes
  • 0.5 dl sesame seeds
  • 0.5 dl flax seeds
  • 3 dl mixed nuts (I usually use a mix of walnuts, cashews, hazelnuts, almonds and brazil nuts)
  • 1-1.5 scoops protein powder tiramisu flavor from BioTech USA from Fitnessbutiken
  • 6 tablespoons raw honey (I probably use more because I love the crunches and sweetness)
  • 0.5-1 dl water
  • 0.5-1 dl rapeseed oil or coconut oil

-> Turn the oven on 200 degrees Celsius. Put a baking paper on a baking dish and add all the dry ingredients. Then add the rapeseed oil/coconut oil, the honey and the water. Bland it on the baking dish so it gets evenly wet and well mixed. Put in the oven for 15 minutes, then stir so it doesn’t burn, but back in for 12-15 more minutes and then stir again. Here you decide if you want to put it in a little longer or if it is done. It should be light brown and not wet anymore. I usually turn the heat of and let it stay in the oven for a while. I would guess my total “cooking time” in the oven varies from 30-40 minutes.

Take out, let it cool down and ENJOY!

This granola is 100% gluten free and free from added sugar. Do you use a protein powder free from lactose or flavor the granola with for example vanilla powder, cinnamon or cardamom is also dairy free and paleo- friendly!
