Chili Roasted Cashews & Almonds

I got really curious to try out to make some spicy roasted nuts, the original recipe is from HERE, but I changed it a little and it turned out great.

Chili Roasted Cashews & Almonds (1 batch)

  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon maca powder Superfood365 from Gooddays
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0,5 dl sukrin gold (or other sweetener, Lucuma powder works as well)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 dl natural cashews
  • 1 dl natural almonds

-> Turn on the oven on 200 degrees Celsius. Mix all the spices in a bowl. In a separate bowl whisk the egg whites lightly. Add the spices to the egg whites and then add the nuts. Stir well until all the nuts are covered. Pour out on a baking dish, make sure the nuts are separated well and not on top of each other. Put in the oven for 5 minutes, then stir and place back in the oven for 5 more minutes. Take out and let cool down before breaking pieces and ENJOY a delicious, healthy and spicy snack!

Store in the fridge up to a week.

This snack is paleo-friendly; 100% free from gluten, dairy and added sugar!
