Strawberry Chia Jam

Was out with a friend this morning to pick fresh Swedish strawberries. I got 4.2 kilos. Decided to freeze in about half of it and eat up the rest the coming days! Also finally decided to try to make my own chia jam. SUCCESS!

Strawberry Chia Jam (1 jar)

  • 4 dl fresh strawberries (Or defrosted ones)
  • 4.5 tablespoons chia seeds from Fitnessbutiken 
  • 8 tablespoons water
  • (Optional: sweetener after taste, for example agave syrup, coconut sugar or honey).

-> Mash the strawberries with a fork or with a stick blender. Add the rest of the ingredients (I recommend to add some sweetener) and make sure all the chia seeds are covered. Put in the fridge over night or at least for 2-3 hours until it becomes jelly-like.

This jam is 100% free from gluten, dairy and added sugar. Also works perfectly for paleo, lowcarb, lchf, vegan and Rawfood.
